3rd project - BTC&G - New Beginnings

Whewwww I almost forgot about my 3rd project for By The Cute & Girly's January challenge. Only a few days to go!!!!! It's the weekend, you have plenty of time, forget the housework and come play with us :)

As for me, I am back in the office half days as of this Monday. Been working from home and am pretty excited about going back. Health is still pretty unstable but better. Being with my gals & pals will help I'm sure!! Life has given me a warning and I am listening...this time :))))

I made this layout with a picture of my wedding. Thought it was perfect for a new beginning's theme. All papers and products used are from the fabulous Boutique Herazz Scapbooking for which this page was made.

For my card, I used Lil' Angel and Devil from the new Valentine's release. An easy peasy card decorated mostly with a punch and pearls. Shiny stickles on the wings, pink feathers, flowers, a lacy bow and a blingy charm to finish it off.

Happy Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been snowing here in Québec, Canada for two days and it is beautiful outside!!!! I love winter and snow storms when you can stay cozy inside or take a nice walk !! The pleasures of life :)))

2nd Project - By The Cute & Girly - New Beginnings

Good afternoon all!!!!!! I am here to present my 2nd project for January's *New Beginnings* challenge over at By The Cute & Girly.

This is an altered album I made to showcase our life together up to our wedding this past Nov 5th 2011. When we met, our first home, first trailer, boat, building of our house in the country, our children and animals. Nine years of Bliss and a future of never ending love. What a lucky woman I am :))))

As our wedding theme was Country, I added rafia and little country buttons. The faux leather is a simple technique.... scraps of brown packing tape (masking tape) cut into small pieces and stuck on the album at random, dark distress ink to make the creases really pop, a lighter brown distress ink all over that will help a coat of thick clear embossing powder to stick to the tape and a heat gun. Voilà!!! Leather it is :))))) Love the resut!

It's a new day, a new month and a new year!!!!!! Happy New Year Blogger and crafting friends!!!! May this new year bring you all the best and then some!!!!

Hello everyone :)

First let me thank you for the warm wishes and although not feeling any better am stable and everything will be ok with time. I might just start a diary type thread on this blog someday about what I am going through. Who knows, It might help or maybe I can share with people going through this same desease :) I'm just in the acceptance stage right now... to be continued....

But for now..... drum roll please!!!!!!! The LAST of the LASTEST christmas cards for this year!!!! This is the series I made to send via snail mail to family and friends. Always attempt at making flat cards for mailing but the bow and flowers just snuck in :) I just can't help it!!! Simple card but I find it cute :)

Relaxing by the Christmas Tree

Happy Thursday Blogger friends :)

How are your Christmas preps coming along? I still have a few errands to run and like every year, am waiting at the last minute *smile* :) Have been relaxing in this first week of holidays hoping to get my strenght back. Today is hubby's last day at work so we will hit the stores tomorrow eeeeeek

Christmas Eve will be celebrated at our house this year. The whole family gathered together, I just can't wait!!!! Wedding pictures to share, potluck dinner, games, gifts and laughter :)

As I do every year, I make a series of less bulky Christmas cards to send via snail mail to family and friends but, always make special cards for the Mom's in my life. Here is the card I made for my Mother-In-Law. Both Mom's are now asking for their card on Christmas day. Tradition has been that Christmas Eve is the whole family together, and, on Christmas day, everyone splits up to be on the spouse's side but seeing that I only have Mom, we have always shared Christmas day with my In-laws and Mom (and Daddy before he passed last year).

Mommy-In-Law loving red, I went with the flow, creating something a little different from the Tildas and Fairies of the past years. I hope she likes it.

Hello,

Quick post to share another Christmas card :) This one is quite simple, peel-off stickers, embossing, MS punch and a few embellies. Was made on order for a nun....should I say Sister? In french, sister would be the proper name.... this was a first for me and didn't want to make it too extravagant. My *customer* loved it so my mission is accomplished and I may have won brownie points with the powers up above! *smile*

Added Faux Snow from Flower Soft and a beautiful Christmas trinket on the bow.

I made this one on a week night, a last minute request and I was tired so the little details such as inking the edges etc just didn't make it :( And the picture well.....I even forgot to remove the black shadow under my signature when I edited eeeeek!

Traditional Christmas

Past Midnight, surfing on the net watching a Christmas movie!! Whoopie Goldberg replacing Santa??? Why not :)))) To think a few years back, my idea of Holidays was going out dancing every night, party after party but now..... at 43...All I want for Christmas is my family and my jammies :)))) oh..... and my papers, glue and scissors too haha

Wish Santa would bring us some snow too :( Québec, Canada without snow at this time of year just seems impossible!! Sigh..... Whoopie???

Ok, it is late and I am just rambling.... here is a card I made with the wonderful Graphic 45 papers. Hard not to be inspired by these... used a card layer to make a faux window, a nice fluffy bow made out of velvet ribbon, faux stitching and voilà :))

I created a 3D embellie by cutting out different layers of the candle that I popped on dimensional tape.

Yawn..... How wonderful to stay in my jammies, cuddle with my dogs with a warm cup of coffee. Holidays are awesome!!!!!!!! I think the dogs are happier than I am!!! Lazy dayz.... I love it :)

Happy Friday!!!!! Yes, this lady is turning her brains off for two full weeks!!! No obligations, deadlines, alarm clocks and even a shut off Blackberry!! I am on holidays :)))

To celebrate, I wish to share a little card, is that ok? Believe it not, this is my first attempt at heat embossing!!!! and.... I LOVE IT!!! Thanks to the inspiring crafters in Blogland, I tried this easy technique!!!! The picture doesn't do the details justice but I LOVE IT!!!!!

Card #2 - Let It Snow at BTC&G and the scare of my life!

Happy Friday all!!! Whewwwww what an emotional roller coaster these past few days. I was whisked out of the office yesterday by ambulance... pain, shortness of breath, numbness, dizzyness, blurry vision...Scary!!!!! I thought I was having a heart attack but was actually suffering a Hypertensive Crisis. The paramedics caught me at a blood pressure of 190 over 130 and took me straight to the hospital. My blood pressure came back to normal within the hour or so and after extensive testing, all my vital organs remain intact. No stroke or blocked arteries... Thank goodness!!! I am to rest for a few weeks!! Ya right!!!!! I rested today, blogged all day hihi and will craft this weekend. Although still light headed and dizzy now and then, all should be fine by Monday. Right?

And sadly, while I was worried about little poor me, my boss lost his father last night! Not sure what to add here :( I know he knows how much I care and have his family close to my heart!!

Christmas Project at LIIU

Happy Saturday!!!! Put on your sunglasses because this post shines and sparkles!!!!!!!!!

With Christmas quickly approaching, the last challenge for 2011 at Let's Ink It Up is Christmas projects. I had so much fun with this card ladies!! If only the picture would do it justice. I had glitter on me for days Ha! Ha!

I used BeCreative two sided tape over my image and on the borders. Did the *burning* technique with fine transparent glitter from Art Glitter all over the sticky side showing the image. Fabulous result!!!! Made for a special man in my life, I am happy with this sobre yet very sparkly festive card.

Hellooooo crafting buddies and friends :))) If the rain we have been having today was snow, I would have to take my snowmobile to work!!! Wowzers, raining cats and dogs is an understatement!! The same tomorrow... soft clothes (you know, the unsexy but so comfy type) and crafting would be awesome for this type of day!!

Ok so, I will go to work and I will work hard...but this weekend, unsexy clothes and crafting it is!!! My treat for being a good girl..and to think that all my dogs have to do is look pretty for a treat!!!

To keep the winter away as Mother Nature is, here is a dimensional card I made for my Sister-In-Law. I am really happy with the result, could of been more precise with my layered flower but practice makes perfect...or almost :)

Happy Saturday all :)

Taking a little break with you tonight.. I am a crafter not a cook so please let me give myself a tap on the back... no crafting today but did make banana and chocolate bread, 2 lasagnas, a sheppards pie, a 3 layer raspberry and cheese pie and an italian spaghetti sauce that simmered all day :) Yaye for me!!!! Nothing worth of a cook book but in this house I rocked today!!! haha

Tomorrow morning I am slapping a roast beef in the slow cooker and it will be the cook for the day!!! I am C.R.A.F.T.I.N.G!!!!!!! *laugh*

Happy Saturday blogger friends!! So how was your week??? Mine was busy busy, full of events and stress haha! Happy to be relaxing with you this morning and looking forward to a little party tonight, western theme, at the same hall we were married and guess what? They asked to use our wedding decorations for the event!! How cool is that??? Many of the same people and same place. Two weeks following the big event, will this be a deja vu??? haha No, I won't be wearing my wedding dress but the hat maybe *wink*.

I would like to share the second of the three activity books I made for the children at our wedding. Using my Bind-It-All and hard covers, I am really pleased with these gifts and believe the children and parents were surprised and pleased too :)

The stamp is from the Greeting Farm coloured with my amazing Copic markers, papers are Tim Holtz, western themed buttons from Buttons Galore. Hope you like :)

Ready for some pictures?? I can't tell you how much I cried when I saw these!!! Tears of joy of course! The day after the wedding, my photographer friend came to our home before leaving for Montreal and randomly took pictures of us and our girls. The pictures are dreamy, just like the ones I remember looking at in magazines when I was a child, dreaming of one day having my own horses. The dream is now mine!! Check these out :))

Good evening all,

Monday Monday...... ughhhhh difficult Mondays but I must say that the comments left here in the past few days have really made me smile ear to ear!!!!!!! I would like to share one of three colouring books I made for my wedding. My young niece and nephews being part of the ceremony, I just didn't feel they would enjoy the wedding favours (which I will show at a later date) so decided to prepare goodie bags full of crayons, modeling clay, sheriff badge, stuffed horsie, candy etc..and,,,I made these cute little activity books, personalized in their name as a souvenir of the special day.

Taking a picture of the inside would of been nice huh? Wonder what I was thinking.....Oh Yeah!!! I was getting married!!!! haha Western themed connect the dots, mazes, colouring pages.... you get the idea :)

Happy Friday!!! Wow, it's been a while since my last post huh?

Still on cloud 9, very happy and smiling at every memory of our wedding day last Saturday. The sun was shining, family from out of town were all present and my friends made this day memorable!!!!

The whole day was perfect!!!! I am now married to my soulmate of the last 9 years...... My cheeks hurt from the constant smiling :)

I wish to thank everyone that took the time to leave sweet comments and wishes! They mean the world to me and I am sure that they brought the sun for our special day :)))

I will post a few pictures at the end of this post but I don't have many yet.... Friends offered a few but I will have more once the Photographer is done :)))

Fearless huh!?!?!?!? hahaha Honestly, this was a mistake when I glued it together and realized it was upside down! Happy with the mistake though, this 6 X 6 card looks totally different thanks to that :)) Added two *ties* on top and voilà!

Happy Saturday ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's my Birthday today and it was a marvelous day :)))) My baby Halflinger horse came home after a few weeks training so we now have mother and daughter back together. Our wedding rings are fitted and my wedding dress is now at Mom's!! 4 weeks and 4 days to the wedding....wowzers!!!!!

Saturday morning food hangover!!!

Good morning Blogland friends xox

Bright and early this morning. Went out for dinner last night with amazing friends, came home late and still, was up at 6am this morning. I think the garlic butter doesn't agree with me!!! You know those mornings where you smell like what you ate the night before, feel like you swallowed a beach ball that inflated your stomach, where the make-up is just all over your face and the hair looks like it was in a fight all night?? Well.... you got the picture.... but no pictures of me no! no! no!

Happy to say that my hunnie is ready to marry me for better or worse cause this morning hummmmmmm well..... better just ain't there!!!!!!!! hahahahaha

Before I gather the scrubbing pad, drink my gallon of mouth wash and hit the shower, here is a card I would like to share today..... Offered to a collegue that is struggling with the very sad news that her daughter has MS.....

Hello lovelies!!!! Holidays are over, mananged to finish my return to work week with overtime every night but I'm here!!!!!!!!!!! And......... off for the long labour day weekend yippie!!!!!!!!! Ella and Emy are coming home soon, the barn is pratically ready, my teen son is now in technical school, our wedding approaching and I am loving it all!!!!!!!!!

From Christmas to Halloween? Why not!

Happy Sunday all!!! I am currently on holidays, relaxing in my fifth-wheel , keeping warm beside my little fireplace and enjoying some *do nothing* time with hubby-to-be and my two little dogs! Storms all night and non-stop rain today makes it the perfect day to simply relax.

Through the magic of WiFi, I am able to be here and share another DT page I created for Herazz Scarpbooking's online store using the fabulous Moxxie *Midnight Dreary* collection now available in their boutique.

I am not very *Halloween* buy found this collecton to be perfect for matching with the many pictures I have of my teen rebels :)

Midway reminder - By the Cute & Girly - The Sea

Happy hump day everyone!!!! For me it's one *dodo* and vacation time will be here finally!!!!!!!!! I am really looking forward to this time off, camping and enjoying my hubby-to-be, family and friends. A little pedaloo maybe, fishing oh and sleeping too yeah!!!!!

Sharing my second creation for our *The Sea* challenge over at By The Cute and Girly. Used a Magnolia stamp and my distress inks to color the background and simply stamped the sea image over that with Stazon ink. I really love the effect, proof that coloring does not need to be perfect.

This card was originally made for a challenge over at Herazz Scrapbooking and dedicated to a special friend of mine who's birthday is today so please let me take a few spaces here and wish Odette the most marvelous birthday ever!!!! May this day bring you love and smiles to last the whole year and beyond!!! Hugs and kisses my friend xox

Happy Thursday!!! And ohhhhhhh what a happy day and week it has been for me!! LaDiva's Ark has grown yet again! So what did we adopt this time? Read on to find out :)

Here is a card I made using some crackle paints, dry embossing, cool gothic stickers, Tim Holtz papers and magic mesh. For a teen boy ughhhhhh a struggle as always but am VERY pleased with the end result :) Teenage boy was too yaye!!

Now for my BIG news........ what is making me sooooooo happy????? Well it's Amy and Ella of course!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mother and daughter team of Halflinger horses are now part of our family!!!! I keep thinking that I must be dreaming!!! Both are still with previous owner, 7 minutes away so I can visit every day, but they will be coming home in the next few weeks giving us time to modify the barn and fences as they are fitted for my 2 miniature horses. Hubby is working hard to make a comfortable new home to these beautiful horses. Here they are:

Ella - 8 years old and Amy's momma :)

And me :)

Life is sooooooo beautiful!!!! I couldn't be happier!!! Beautiful teens, home, husband to be (yes I am at 3 months of my wedding) and gorgeous animals!!!! LaDiva's Ark is full of love and wonderful moments that I am so proud to share with all of you!

Happy August!!!!

Well it's Monday and we just returned from a fabulous three days of camping with family and friends. Life is good!!!!!

Being close to a lake was nice but this month at By the Cute and Girly we are going to the sea!!!! Awesome sponsors and prizes so be sure to check it out and share your awesome work with us!! Visiting your blogs and peeking at your work is always so exciting for me!!!

Here is what I came up with as my first project.....Hoping this inspires you to join in the fun! My image was cut out of an acetate sheet that I attached to a white piece of cardstock sponged with distress inks to create a colourful background.

Flower Pot Tilda + Top 3!!!

Happy Sunday all!!!! Hope your weekend is as great as mine!!!!! Awesome weather and my creative juices are just flowing!!! All my wedding invites and R.S.V.P's are printed, envelopes addressed, made a DT card but today well..... I have to do bookkeeping ughhhhhhhh Why oh why did I say yes !?!?!??!? I wanna craft!!!!!!!

I will get that out of the way this morning and hopefully I can craft later on :)))

I have a flower pot card to share with you today. My first but not my last!! I find it to be an adorable and easy little card to make that has that *awwwww* factor. Hope you agree.

Isn't Tilda the cutest little girl?? I love her!!! My flowers were stamped on patterned papers and lined with cardstock to make them nice and strong.

When you pull the flowers up, voilà, a little secret place to write your sentimant :)

Singing with the birds

Happy Friday!!!!! Any of you on holidays as of today??? Wishing you an awesome holiday!!! As for me, not until mid-August but that's alright, you can then wish me a great holiday when you have to work as yours will be over Ha! Ha! Deal?

Found the pattern to my dream western wedding dress today, bought all the fabrics and accessories and she is gone to the dressmaker!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!! Can't say much more though, honey may sneak in :))) Hi Honey *kiss* *kiss* :)

Here is a little card I made, attempting a shabby or vintage feel but not so sure....for both...I tried.....No stamping, used a vintage image from a note pad, used old blues, gold, brown and beige tones and sparkled up my flowers.

The bow was made with my *bow easy* tool but my oh my, how can a little piece of plastic give me so much trouble??? I just can'y get the hang of it :(

Hello Bloggers :))) How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing but OMG what rain we received in the past few days!!! Floods, washed out roads, you name it!!!! We were lucky at my house so my heart goes out to my fellow citizens who have to deal with the aftermath!!! Seems everyone have returned to their homes at least!

A Spanish touch

Good evening all :) I might have been stung by the fatigue bug because whewwwww where has my energy gone? Been struggling for days.!!! Common weekend, I need a break! :)

Rodeo weekend is off due to the forecasted rain so hubby and I are making plans to work on our wedding, scrapping and watching True Blood season 3 yippie!!!!!!!!!!! Really looking forward to that! I do love rainy days for cuddling and relaxing don't you?

Let's take a trip for a few minutes and enjoy the beauty of Spain! My isnpiration came from the fabulous Magnolia stamp of course. Made my own background using a La Blanche stamp. My picture is horrible for the details but I did add ALOT of bling and made a little fan out of scraps to binde everything together. Hope you like :)

How was your weekend? Mine was quite relaxing. No fifth-wheel, no rodeo, I spent my time scrapping (and doing laundry) and enjoyed every minute :) Lovely weather hoping it stays all week and then on :)) I can always hope! *smile*

As most of you know, my beloved miniature horse Gringo left us 2 weeks ago and as a DT project for the Boutique Herazz Scrapbooking, I was sent the fabulous Zoology papers from BoBunny. I am sure you will agree that these papers were perfect for a keepsake of my cutie mini :)

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Whewwww what a storm we had here tonight! Falling trees, flying roofs and I was stuck in hail, rain and winds on a jammed bridge!!! Home Sweet Home now!!!!!

With the summer being here, I am everywhere but crafting and blogging. Wedding preperations, camping, gardening and enjoying the sunshine is where I am these days but with tonight's stressful ride home from work, I decided to take a break and spend time with you :))

Good evening ladies,

I was to post the fun challenge over at By The Cute & Girly yesterday but unfortunately, my little minitaure horse Gringo left us last night :( My apologies for my lateness but the good news is that you have the full month of June to join us in this fun and summery challenge :)

**In My Garden**

This month the design team was spoiled rotten as we got to use gorgeous doilies offered by Poppy's Cabin and digital stamps from Spesch Designer Stamps. I have chosen a square doily for my project accompanied by the *Princess and the Frog* image found here.

So for those of you that follow me or know me personally, needless to say that the loss of Gringo is leaving me so very empty and broken hearted....... Losing my beloved pekingese Valentine last January on the exact date of my Dad's first year of passing and now my little stallion,,,,well,,,,,animal lovers will understand :)

We fought with Gringo, surgery after surgery but I guess Dad was lonely and needed a few pets by his side.

If there is such a place named the City of Angels, I picture a miniature horse growing wings and flying proud like a unicorn!!

Rainy day brings sad news!!

Hello everyone. I am saddened to announce that due to health issues, Suzanne has taken the difficult decision to shut down the Let's Ink It Up Challenge Blog.

Suzanne was the very first to chose me for a DT position, bringing me confidence in my work and creativity. I will miss working with Suzanne, Claire and the whole DT team but will keep in touch via Blogland.

Life is important!!!! Best wishes to Suzanne, my Australian friend!! Thanks for everything xox

* Please note that the current and last challenge over at Let's Ink It up still has a few days to go and the winners will be announced by mid week.

Please let me share a card made for what would of been our *scallops* challenge. I am very proud of this card as I managed to use several different stamps and techniques.

The swirls are stamped using Stazon inks, Tilda coloured with my copics, the deer was stamped and then powdered with Perfect Pearls and my favorite........the gorgeous butterfly was stamped on an acetate sheet that I cut out and embellished with Stickles. Here is a closer peak :)

Bee Happy Tilda and an important message

Good evening crafters and friends :)

The long weekend is at an end but ohhhh what a fabulous three days! My Flower gardens full of blooming perenials of all species all nice and clean, we planted red seasonal flowers all around the house to give it a punch, flower baskets, swing, fountain, clean pond where my gold fish will finally move into next weekend, mowed lawn and bird feeders all over :)) Isn't summer just fabulous??

I also managed to fit in some crafting today :)) Yaye me!!

Happy Saturday!!! May the beautiful sunshine beam in your hearts!!!! To kick-off a beautiful long weekend, thought I would share another drawer card I made for a friend. I am loving these cards so much!!!
